Key Highlights of the Flaming Mountain Experience
What sets Flaming Mountain Hot Pot apart in the competitive New York dining scene? It is a combination of unwavering dedication to authenticity, exceptional ingredient quality, and a focus on the communal dining ritual.
Authentic Broth Mastery: Our foundation lies in our broths. We meticulously develop several signature soup bases, ranging from deeply savory and spicy options that capture the essence of traditional recipes to milder, nourishing choices. Each broth is simmered for hours, ensuring a depth of flavor that serves as the perfect canvas for your chosen ingredients. This commitment to the base flavor profile is non-negotiable and forms the core of our culinary identity.
Unparalleled Ingredient Freshness: The success of hot pot hinges entirely on the quality of what you cook. We maintain rigorous sourcing protocols to ensure that our thinly sliced meats, vibrant seafood, and an extensive array of fresh vegetables and artisanal noodles arrive at your table at their peak. This dedication guarantees that every dip into the boiling broth yields a tender, flavorful bite.
The Art of Customization: Dining at Flaming Mountain is inherently interactive. Beyond the main components, we offer an extensive sauce bar featuring numerous traditional and house-made condiments. This allows every guest to become their own chef, mixing and matching flavors to create a dipping sauce that perfectly complements their individual taste preferences for that specific meal.
Vibrant, Engaging Atmosphere: We have designed our dining space to foster connection and excitement. The energy surrounding the bubbling pots creates a lively, engaging environment perfect for family gatherings, celebrations, or an adventurous dinner with friends. It’s a place where the act of cooking together becomes the central focus of the evening.

The food is alright. Definitely not worth the money, especially if you’re not a big seafood person. Their snowflake beef is horrible. Is it even real snowflake beef? Even the cheap fatty beef is better than the snowflake beef, which is supposed to be high quality slices of Wagyu? And the worst part of my experience? Carbon monoxide. Yes, carbon monoxide. That place is poorly ventilated so be aware of carbon monoxide. I got headache and got dizzy halfway through eating and lost all my appetite. Never coming back again.

They prefer cash payment and provide some deals based on this. We had a language barrier but some servers did speak English so we were kind of muddling through it. It's all you can eat with two tiers, kids are priced based on height. You … More

Been here twice so far and it’s a decent deal. AYCE seafood hotpot for around $70-$75/person (including tip), comes with complimentary sashimi, drinks and appetizers. They have a variety of meat and seafood and I think their speciality is the fresh Mantis shrimp. The staff here are also very nice and accommodating. I had the same waitress both times and she even recognized me the second time! I’d say the only con is the parking situation - two rows of parking spaces back-to-back so cars on the outside will have to move if cars on the inside want to leave, but honestly, the fact that they actually have a parking lot is already pretty good!

My friend recommended this place, but after reading so many bad reviews, i was skeptical. Somehow, some reviews looked fake, so I decided to come with my friends anyway. We came for lunch, and we were pretty impressed with the seafood selection. Most of them are very good and fresh. They gave us a small fresh lobster for the table and abalone per person. The shrimps were alive, but they said no more after 2 orders, which was hard to believe. But I got it, it's expensive. The drinks are included and as well as the desserts. The service was good. The waitress was very nice. We had a great time and will definitely come back again.

A newly opened hot pot place costing $58 per person. I am a big fan of seafood and the sashimi tasted so fresh. I was amazed by the all you can eat options. They had so much fresh food. Everything was so good from the broth to the fish cakes. They have a sauce bar with unlimited drinks. I enjoy the welcoming service that was given by the staffs.

When Flaming Mountain first opened, the place was packed. I remember waiting almost two hours just to get a table because everyone wanted to try it. The food was amazing with fresh ingredients, rich and flavorful broths, and tons of variety. The staff was also super friendly and made the whole experience even better.
I recently went back and was shocked to find there was no wait at all. It still tastes just as good and the service is just as welcoming. I have no idea how it’s not crowded anymore but it honestly feels like a hidden gem now. If you haven’t been in a while, now’s the best time to go.

All-you-can-eat seafood spot in Brooklyn. Overall, very spacious, never felt rushed. They had very nice touches, including bibs and gloves to make sure you stay clean, bags for your clothes so that they don’t get splashed on or get smells trapped in. The drinks and ice cream/desserts also help yourself, plenty of wet wipes to clean up. But most importantly, the food was so fresh and incredible. I’ve never had actual live shrimp before and will admit was a little nervous when they started jumping around.
The star of the show is the fresh crab, offering a luxurious taste without the hefty price tag. For a sashimi lover on a budget, the quality here is a pleasant surprise, rivaling that of more expensive sushi bars.
It’s a delightful experience to enjoy high-quality sashimi without the worry of overspending.
Wrapping up the meal, the brown sugar grass jelly with peanut and mango dessert is a standout. It’s rare to find such a sophisticated and satisfying dessert at an AYCE restaurant.
This sweet finale is not just an afterthought but a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality across the board. For a frugal foodie in NYC, this place is a gem, offering an experience that's both wallet-friendly and deliciously memorable

This place just opened today! The other reviewer is probably a competitor who is out to give them a bad rating. They gave the place a bad rating 3 days before it opened. This place just opened today. Great decor. A dozen parking spots in the front. Great modern decor. Everything looks so fresh and tasted great! They are giving out free king crab for tables of 4 as a promotion. This is a high end hotpot so expect to pay premium prices for premium product. They give bibs to protect your clothing and also bags to put your coats in to protect it from the smell. Many booth style bench seats with either 4 or 6 seats. Sauce station is fresh and there is fresh fruit also. Many soft drinks also and is self serve. The bathroom are unisex and there are two of them and are clean and modern. Highly recommended.
